Hi there, @Sarasota Classic Car Museum.
Thanks for taking the time to follow along with the thread and share your concerns.
I can provide some troubleshooting steps that can fix this issue.
First, I'll share some possible reasons why QuickBooks Desktop stopped working. Below are some of them:
- QBWUSER.INI file, which is an important file, might be corrupted or damaged completely.
- Hard Drive corruption is another reason for the QuickBooks Desktop Keeps Crashing issue.
- QuickBooks Desktop installation or the company file is damaged.
- The Windows operating system you are working on has corrupted files or is damaged.
To isolate the issue, you'll want to make sure that you're using the latest release of your QBDT product. This way, you'll always get our bug fixes and security patches.
If the issue persists, you can run the Quick Fix Program from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This will run a quick repair on your program. Here's how:
- Download and install the latest QuickBooks Tool Hub.
- Once done, open the file and select Program Problems.
- Choose Quick Fix my Program.
- Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.
To learn more about this process, you can check out this guide: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
If the program continues to crash, you can follow the additional steps outlined in this article: Solutions for When QuickBooks Stops Working.
I'm also adding this article to find out what your computer needs to run the best QuickBooks Desktop experience: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2019.
