It’s great to see you here, @jeansampson818. I’ll walk you through the steps on converting your Quicken data and importing them into QuickBooks Online.
First off, we’ll need to export your Quicken data into a .csv format file. Next, let’s import it into QuickBooks. I’ll show you how:
- Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
- Go to the Gear icon, then Import Data.
- Choose the type of list that you want to import.
- Select Browse. Locate the .csv file and click Open. You can also select Download a sample file and use it as a sample template.
- Click Next. On the Map data page, ensure there’s a green checkmark on the fields so that QuickBooks recognizes it. Otherwise, you’ll see No Match.
- Use the dropdown menus to map the fields. Select Next.
- Review all the entries.
- Press Import.
Once done, you can now connect your bank account. From there, your transactions will be automatically downloaded so you won’t have to enter them manually.
You’ll want to consider using bank rules to categorize your transactions. This will help you speed up the review process.
Stay in touch with me by commenting below if you have additional questions about the exporting process or with managing your transactions within the program. I'll be right here to guide you.
