I'll help you fix the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) crashing issue, @uggraphics. This way, you can work efficiently and complete your tasks in no time.
Please note that QBDT 2022 requires internet access and Internet Explorer 11 (32-bit). I'd recommend using the browser requirement to isolate the crashing issue. For more information, see this article: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2022.
If you prefer using Chrome, I'd recommend following the workarounds provided by the previous user and Fiat if you haven't already.
I'll outline a few steps below in case you require them.
- Ensure that your QBDT release is R5.
- Update your office 365 to the latest release. Proceed with the following steps:
- Open an Office application and select the File menu.
- Choose Account or Office Account.
- In the Product Information window, hit on Update Options next to Office updates.
- Click Update Now.
- Disabled the QuickBooks Web Connector. Go as follows:
- Open the Start menu and click All Programs.
- Click Startup, followed by QuickBooks.
- Right-click Exchange Data With Web Services.
- Click Delete, then Yes to disable the connector.
- Turned off Intuit Data Protection in the startup
