Other questions

I recognize the importance of being able to use the scanning feature in QuickBooks Desktop, @Lisa W J.

The Scan Manager tool was discontinued in QBDT 2022 and replaced with Attach Documents.

You can now utilize the QuickBooks Desktop mobile app to upload documents to the system using your mobile device if you have the latest version. After that, you can include them in invoices, purchase orders, and other transactions.

QBDT presently supports PDFs as well as images in JPEG, JPG, GIF, and PNG formats. You'll need to download the QuickBooks Desktop program to use this feature.

Here are the links to download them based on your device:

After that, you can now start capturing and uploading the documents. If you're using an Android version, follow these:

  1. Open the QuickBooks Desktop Android app, then click on Document under Snap and Upload.
  2. Select the company to upload bills to, then hit Continue.
  3. Click on Snap Document.
  4. Hit the Camera icon to take a picture of the bill or select the Photos icon to upload your bill.
  5. Hit Use this photo.
  6. Enter a Name and Memo, then click on Upload photo then select OK.
  7. Log in to your Intuit Account and choose the company to upload bills to. You’ll only need to do this once.
  8. Log in to your QuickBooks Desktop company file to review, edit, and match bills to transactions.
