I lost access to my quickbooks desktop administrator company file, there is absolutely no support to assist with getting back into the file, I got an error code and followed the prompts to try and get into it but it seems that it will not allow me passed the online registration page which is necessary so needless to say nothing worked!!! I have just recently purchased QBO and I'm trying to navigate that but it's really not as user friendly as the desktop version. I'm currently in the process of manually preparing my files to import to the QBO platform via my additional users account but I don't think I will be able to move everything over. Word of advice BACK UP everything in excel/csv as this is the only file types that will allow you to move your data over to QBO also I would suggest using the trial version of QBO and getting familiar with it, once you're kicked off the desktop version, that's it, there's no way back unless you purchase from a 3rd party outside of SA and still there will only be support for a certain amount of time and the costs are ridiculously high.
