I attempted to modify both the VAT and phone numbers in my QBO account, and I successfully saved the changes. I also noticed from your initial post that you have already cleared the cache and performed other troubleshooting steps related to the browser.
In this situation, I recommend contacting our support team through the chat feature. They will conduct further investigations to identify the reason behind the VAT Number and phone number not saving in your company settings.
Here's how to reach out to them:
- Click Help in the upper-right hand corner of QBO.
- Type in "support" and press Enter.
- Select Contact Support Team.
- Type in "support" once again and press Enter.
- Click No, I still need help.
- Select Contact Support Team.
- Click Chat with us.
