If you were just providing numbers to your accountant, you can use whatever version you want and just print out and send to your accountant. Some people just use spreadsheet and the accountant will accept. I think the accountant wants to be able to work on my version and change how things are categorize, etc. I don’t believe it’s a reading for just getting numbers sake, It’s more that they want to be able to read my version of QuickBooks and work on it.
