Android App Bug – Unable to Add New Product Due to Tax Code Dropdown
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with the QuickBooks Android app when trying to create a new invoice and add a new product/item that doesn’t already exist.
Here’s what’s happening:
I tap to add a new item during invoice creation.
I fill in all required fields (description, price, etc.).
To save the item, I must select a Tax Code — this is a mandatory field.
However, the Tax Code dropdown appears as a ghost dropdown — no options are visible, and I can’t select anything.
Because of this, I cannot save the new item, and the invoice creation process is blocked.
Additional Info:
This issue is only happening on Android devices.
The same workflow works fine on iOS and browser versions.
The problem started after a recent app update.
I’ve tried clearing cache, reinstalling the app, and testing on multiple Android devices — same result.
Questions:
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a known workaround?
Is it possible to revert to an older version of the app where this wasn’t an issue?
