Your migration from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is our top priority, Failsaf. I'd like to walk you through the process and discuss the QBDT discontinuation.
As of June 30, 2023, we have fully discontinued QBDT services for our customers in Ireland due to updates in accounting and tax regulations. That said, we're unable to provide the download link for QBDT 2015. In the meantime, I recommend searching online to obtain the installer.
Additional details about the discontinuation can be found in this article: QuickBooks Desktop discontinuation support hub.
Once you're able to install QBDT 2015 and clear the errors, you can collaborate with Movemybooks to convert and migrate up to two years' worth of historical data. Before doing so, ensure your data is backed up and readily accessible.
Here's how to create a Movemybooks account:
- Go to this link: Movemybooks. Then, click Get Started Now.
- Select Create an account.
- Finish the online registration form.
- Read and accept the Terms of Use, then Create an account. Once done, you'll receive an email confirmation containing your account details.
For the complete instructions, please refer to this resource: Moving from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
Moreover, here's a helpful guide to customise your QBO settings to suit your needs and get started with the platform: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for QuickBooks Online.
