Thanks for getting back to us, SConnelly.

The conversion tool mentioned by RenjolynC is for the QuickBooks Desktop to Online migration process. You can also use this link for reference: https://www.odyssey-resources.com/quickbooks_onlineuk/Faq.php.

Meanwhile, there is a built-in migration tool in QuickBooks Online that fully converts your data to the Desktop version. However, this is only available for US regions. You can base it in this article: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

For other regions like UK, we can utilize the third-party migration tools to convert your Online data to Desktop. One of those tools was mentioned by Fiat Lux - ASIA. You can look for a different migration tool online, too.

If you're not going to use a third-party migration tool, we'll need to do it manually. This means that we'll have to export your lists from QuickBooks Online: Export reports, lists, and more.
Note that transactions list can be exported, but not the transactions themselves.

Then, import those lists to QuickBooks Desktop. Import and export data in QuickBooks Desktop.

To bring your transactions to QuickBooks Desktop, you have three options:

  • Use Bank Feed
  • Enter the transactions one at a time
  • Use a third-party importer tool for your transactions

I hope this clarifies what we can do within the QuickBooks programs based on the regions.
