Can I convert data QuickBooks Online Plus international version to QuickBooks Desktop?
I used the QBO Plus international version. I try to export data to QuickBooks Desktop but the "export data" option in gear does not export to QuickBooks Desktop. I searched on the internet there is a way to do it.
Can I convert data QuickBooks Online Plus international version to QuickBooks Desktop? Please advise.

Good day, Chai Wanma.
For now, converting the data is only available in QuickBooks Online US, UK, and CA versions. While we're unable to convert your data from the QuickBooks Online International to QuickBooks Desktop, you'll want to look for a third-party application that has a similar function.
You can check out these articles to give you an overview of the process:
- Export your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.
- What data doesn't convert from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online?
- Export limitations - QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
Please don't hesitate to comment on this thread if you need more help. Thanks.

Hi RenjolynC
I'm using the QB Accountant UK version but I don't see an option to convert data to Desktop. Has it been removed since March or is it hidden somewhere?
Thanks
Stephen

Company doesn't provide any conversion feature to switch back. You have to utilize a 3rd party tool to do so. i.e TP Exporter for Online, TP Importer for Desktop.

But @RenjolynC mentions a tool above and states that it works with the UK version, that's why I've asked the question. Hopefully @RenjolynC can clarify it for me.

Thanks for getting back to us, SConnelly.
The conversion tool mentioned by RenjolynC is for the QuickBooks Desktop to Online migration process. You can also use this link for reference: https://www.odyssey-resources.com/quickbooks_onlineuk/Faq.php.
Meanwhile, there is a built-in migration tool in QuickBooks Online that fully converts your data to the Desktop version. However, this is only available for US regions. You can base it in this article: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.
For other regions like UK, we can utilize the third-party migration tools to convert your Online data to Desktop. One of those tools was mentioned by Fiat Lux - ASIA. You can look for a different migration tool online, too.
If you're not going to use a third-party migration tool, we'll need to do it manually. This means that we'll have to export your lists from QuickBooks Online: Export reports, lists, and more.
Note that transactions list can be exported, but not the transactions themselves.
Then, import those lists to QuickBooks Desktop. Import and export data in QuickBooks Desktop.
To bring your transactions to QuickBooks Desktop, you have three options:
- Use Bank Feed
- Enter the transactions one at a time
- Use a third-party importer tool for your transactions
I hope this clarifies what we can do within the QuickBooks programs based on the regions.
Feel free to drop again by if you have additional queries. Have a great day!

Thanks @JamesDuanT , that clarifies it. It was just a little confusing when UK version was mentioned along with US and CA and a link to converting from QBO to QBD.
