I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I'll do what I can to help you with accessing your company files that you're moving from one computer to another so you can get to work.

 

My recommendation in this case is to try a different file type rather than the portable file. For instance, you could simply try to move the company file, or a copy of it, to the portable drive, then to the other computer. From there, try to open the company file on the other computer.

 

If that works, great! You may just need to stick with that file type. If it's still giving your trouble, contact QuickBooks Desktop support so an agent can troubleshoot with you to figure out what's going on.
