QB online payroll drafting account but not exporting data
Quickbooks Online Payroll has begun to draft payroll tax amounts from the checking account at every payroll instead of waiting to draft when the taxes are actually paid. Their stated reason is that too many employers would not have the funds available to draft when the taxes were due so they will now hold the funds (in an interest bearing account I am sure) to assure they are available when due. However, QB Online Payroll does not export the deducted amount data with the payroll export that records the paychecks data every payday. Furthermore, QB Online Payroll does not tell you what this amount is going to be but with a little checking I have determined how to calculate the amount from the payroll report.
The issue is that QB Online Payroll sends the funds to the IRS on about the 15th of each month and at that time generates the data to export to the checking account but it is not the actual deductions from the checking account but is the amount sent to the IRS in one transaction. Because of this I cannot reconcile my checking account without recording the tax draft amounts.
How can I record the actual draft amounts from the bank account and then record these amounts as being used to pay the payroll liabilities for federal payroll taxes when they are paid?

Just got off a 30 minute phone call with the same answer. Basically, "we don't have a solution yet". What a bunch of idiots.

Help is on the way for this issue. You should now be able to export the deductions for each pay period which will hit you bank account and the corresponding payroll liability account. I believe there are still a few glitches to fix but basically the problem has been solved.
