It's wonderful to see you here in Community. Welcome! Having the ability to receive notifications for tasks and projects is a great way to stay informed while on the go. QuickBooks Online understands how valuable this would be and they've made it possible in the Accountant version and QuickBooks Online Plus. I'd be happy to help.
To allow notifications just follow these easy steps; Click on Work on the left navigation bar, at the top you'll see Notifications. Select the Edit icon to the far right and check all boxes that apply > hit Save and then Done. You're all set!
With regards to having a report that shows tasks due, I'd recommend the Transaction List by Customer report. This report will show all transactions, but you can modify it to only show charges. Since charges are non-posting, transactions won't appear in most reports, registers or account histories. I'd be happy to guide you to this report.
1. Select Reports from the left menu.
2. Type Transaction List by Customer in the search bar.
3. Click Customize at the top.
4. Open the Filter.
5. Under the Transaction Type drop-down arrow, choose Charge.
6. Run report.
To offer the Development Team any suggestions for product additions or updates, it can be done by submitting Feedback. You can do this from the Gear icon in the top right corner > Feedback, . Although you may not see an immediate update, any advice provided by our customers is taken into consideration to provide the best quality of Customer Care with QuickBooks Online.
