Properly tracking your shipping expenses is a great way to keep your books up to date. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction for this.
QuickBooks Online helps you save time when entering and tracking your shipping charges. In order to properly assign a shipping expense for part of an assembly I recommend reaching out to your accountant as they're trained in how to make these kinds of entries.
