Let's get the Receipt Snap feature working so you can get back on track, Tammy.
First, could you please let me know which mobile device you're using? Also, have you encountered any error messages while trying to use this feature? Any extra details you can provide would be helpful.
In the meantime, let's go through some basic troubleshooting steps by ensuring your internet is stable and both your app and device are updated.
You can follow these steps to refresh your data based on your device:
For Android:
- Go to Menu ☰, then tap More Options ⋮.
- Tap Settings, then select Refresh Data.
- Tap YES to confirm.
For iOS:
- Go to Settings, then tap General.
- Tap iPhone Storage, then select the QuickBooks Online app.
- Tap Offload App.
This process will free up storage space while keeping your app's documents and data intact.
Once done, let's go back and try using the Receipt Snap feature again to double-check if it's already working as expected. If it still doesn't work, I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Alternatively, you can upload your receipts by signing in to your QBO account using any supported mobile web browser.
