Help with how EMPLOYEES can enter timesheets referencing PROJECT and CLASS via employee portal or similar

the employee portal does not seem to allow reference to timesheets with reference to our projects or classes. Is there a way to do this? (our admin staff can do this via the project s section, but we ideally want staff to do this directly) Thanks!
