Move to QuickBooks Online

Hello there, @fairfield- . I've got your back, and I'll help you get through this to ensure class fields stay on your Banking page, and you won't have to enable it again in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

You can perform some basic troubleshooting to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. I'll gladly input the process below so you can proceed. To begin, access your QBO account in an incognito or private browser.

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

Once you're in, try to perform what you're attempting to do earlier.. If it works, and the class field stays on your banking page, proceed to clear your browser's cache. See this article for the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

You can also try using other compatible browser. Refer to this article to see the list of compatible browsers in QuickBooks Online: Other browsers.

If the issue persists after performing my recommendations above, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Customer Care Team. This way, they can assign someone to look at your account and investigate to determine the root cause of why your class field needs to be enabled every time.

See this article for further guidelines: QuickBooks Online Support.

In addition, here's an article about categorising and matching bank transactions in QBO: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

You can also check this page about reconciling an account in QBO: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

@fairfield-, don't hesitate to get back to me anytime if you need further assistance with this. You can also post here again if you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns. It'll be my pleasure to help you out again. Take care, and have a good one!
