Move to QuickBooks Online

It will be my pleasure to help you get to the bottom of this, Tim K.

There are different reasons why you're unable to connect your bank account. It might be that:

  • The bank may not be a participating bank.
  • The bank has system maintenance.
  • Some banks have multiple names on our list. You might want to check and select the correct one or try all possible bank URLs.

What you can do for now is reach out to your bank and check for any maintenance update or request to establish a connection with QuickBooks.

Once everything is good from your bank's side, ensure to select the correct bank name when connecting the account. Let me guide you with these steps:

  1. From the Gear ⚙ icon, select Bank accounts.
  2. Enter the name or URL of your bank.
  3. Select Continue
  4. Enter the sign-in info you use for your bank's website.
  5. Click Connect.

If you're still unable to connect your bank account, you may want to upload the transactions using an Excel file. Here's an article for the detailed steps of the process: Manually upload transactions.

Once done, you can categorise the items. Here's a reference as your guide: Categorise transactions.

Let me know how things work on your end. I'm here to make sure that you're able to connect your bank account. Keep safe!
