Is there a setting that enables entering payment method for expenses from the banking page? I don't think so but maybe I missed it.

I don't have a banking page in QBO, I think you mean in the bank register
If so, you can change the check number to EFT, ACH, Debit Card (DC), etc - that might be the payment method you are talking about
A little more detail if the above does not do it

For now, there's no option to enter a payment method for expenses from the banking page.
I'll send this feedback to our product engineers about including payment method in the banking page. Also, I'm inviting you to check our QuickBooks Blog so that you'll get updated to the newly released features.
