I have several ideas on how to manage those progress invoices, @Carolexx.
Yes, you can delete those progress invoices as long they're still not yet reconciled. If this isn't the case, I recommend consulting your account to prevent messing up your books. Another option is to use our Find-an-Accountant tool to find an expert near your place.
To locate your progress invoices quickly, you can run the Progress Invoices vs. Estimates report. Then, you'll need to open each invoices manually to delete them. Please follow along below to get this done right away:
- Go to the Reports menu, and then choose the said report from the Job, Times & Mileage section.
- You can customize the report as needed.
- Double click on each estimates, and then open the progress invoices linked to it.
- Select the delete icon at the top, and then click OK to confirm.
- Please perform the same actions to other progress invoices you want to delete.
Once done, re-enter or correct their balances and info as you normally would.
If you wish to save the report's customization setting, you can memorize it. This way, you can access it anytime for later use.
