Manage Customers and Income
A pleasant day to you, @userchris5. We see that the QBO upgrade brought about an unforeseen change on your end, such as you can no longer create an invoice to your estimates as well as the total amount of it. We recognize that this has been challenging for you as you're accustomed to performing these processes previously without errors. Allow us to help you today.
First and foremost, to see how much estimates that have been invoiced. Let's run the Estimates & Progress Invoicing Summary by Customer. This will ensure if Estimates have been created as invoices successfully.
Here's how:
- Go to Business overview and select Reports.
- Search for and open your Estimates & Progress Invoicing Summary by Customer report.
For additional info, you can read this article: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.
At the moment, there's no existing issue about not being able to create a progress invoice from the current estimate. In the meantime, we can perform some troubleshooting steps to verify if this is a browser-related concern.
To start, open your QBO account via incognito mode to avoid storing cache files that may cause odd behaviors when running web-based programs. You can also use other private browsers. Feel free to follow the shortcut keys below to access them.
- Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
- Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
- Safari: press Command + Shift + N
After that, try to create progress invoicing from your current estimates. If you're able to perform this, clear the cache of your regular browser to eliminate corrupted data. If the issue persists, we can use another supported browser or device. It might be that the current one you're using has an issue with the program.
However, if confirmed that this isn't a browser issue, I recommend contacting QBO live support to help you look for the root cause of it.
On top of that, I'll paste these articles below to help you with your estimates and invoice transactions:
- Add, customise, or remove logos on sales forms.
- See what's new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.
