Manage Customers and income

Hello there, gc27.

The Taxes menu applies to other regions or countries. Your QuickBooks Online subscription is for the International version. That's why you see the VAT menu instead of the Taxes menu.

Here's a screenshot for additional reference:

Also, since you're done setting up with VAT, I'd recommend refreshing your browser to see the updated information in the program. If the same thing happens, you can follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account in a private browser.
Google Chrome and Safari: Ctrl + Shift + N
Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  2. Clear the cache of your regular browser. This helps remove any browser-related issues and refresh your browser's settings.
  3. Use other compatible browsers in QuickBooks Online.

If you got the same result, make sure to set it up again. Then, click OK to reflect the changes.

You can read through this write-up for additional information: How do I set up sales GST/VAT rates and use them on forms?

Know that you can tap me on my shoulder if you need anything else with QuickBooks. I'll be around to back you up. Stay safe!
