Manage Your Account
I'll make sure that you can get rid of the error, Ire Return.
Usually, this error occurs when QuickBooks encountered connection issues with your financial institution. To isolate the issue, you can log into your bank's website to check everything is working on their end. If everything looks good, you can manually update your bank account to get the latest available transactions. Here's how:
- Select Banking or Transactions from the sidebar menu.
- Go to the Banking tab.
- Choose the appropriate bank account.
- Click Update.
However, if the error still persists, you can perform some basic browser troubleshooting steps to get rid of it. There are times that the stored cache in your browser becomes corrupted causing connection errors in the program. You may start by opening your QuickBooks account using a private window. Here are the keyboard shortcuts to launch the window:
- Mozilla Firefox (CTRL + SHIFT + P)
- Microsoft Edge (CTRL + SHIFT + P)
- Google Chrome (CTRL +SHIFT + N)
- Safari (⌘ + SHIFT + N)
Once you're in, head back to the Banking menu and check your bank accounts. If it's now working well, you'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete the accumulated junk files. Alternatively, you can switch to other supported browsers.
In addition, I've included some articles that will speed up the reviewing process of your downloaded bank transactions:
- Setup bank rules to categorize online banking transactions
- Categorize and match online bank transactions
