Just had to thank you again.  Four years later still referring back to this solution to get back to work after a QB update.  Have seen the team member's solution in various places.  Maybe it works.  This solutions is far quicker and has yet to fail.  I guess we can keep an eye on this issue as a measure of how long Intuit will allow a recurring problem to persist and hassle their users before they fix it on their end.  Never any issues with trying to upsell you while you are trying to get your work done though.
