Install
Helle there, @Tabo. I want to share some important information with you about installing QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Before you begin the process, it is essential to consider its system requirements to ensure your computer meets the necessary specifications. If you have not yet downloaded the version of QuickBooks Desktop that you require, please do so now and save the downloaded file in a location that is easily accessible, such as your Windows desktop. Additionally, make sure you have your product and license number at hand.
I would like to remind you that after October 10, 2023, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows Standard and Essentials Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2. Therefore, QuickBooks 2024 will not support Windows Server 2012 and cannot be installed on it.
Please note that Linux and Windows 10 S Mode are not supported. QuickBooks requires you to use Windows natively and not through an emulator or virtual environment.
Furthermore, QBDT 2024 requires internet access and Google Chrome. The supported database servers are Windows (natively installed), Windows Server 2022, Standard and Essential, Windows Server 2019, Standard and Essentials, and Windows Server 2016, Standard and Essentials.
