Hi there, Vicgreen1.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I also appreciate you for performing some steps to fix the issue you've encountered. I'll be sharing troubleshooting steps to ensure that everything in your QuickBooks display as expected.

To start with, I suggest changing your display and view preferences in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop. Then, open the Windows Start menu.
  2. Type "QuickBooks" into the search and right-click the QuickBooks icon. Then, choose Open file location.
  3. In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and select Properties.
  4. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  5. Select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also select Change high DPI settings and then Override high DPI scaling behavior.
  6. Click Apply and OK.

If the issue persists, you can adjust your view preferences within the QuickBooks program. Please follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
  2. Choose Desktop View from the list and the My Preferences tab.
  3. In the View section, select the One Window option. Then, select OK.

After that, you can now see your QuickBooks Desktop display including icons as desired.
