I understand how important that all versions of the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) are working with a multi-user mode while the QBDT 2022 was installed on a server.
There are several reasons why the multi-user mode isn't working. One of them is the folder permission may not be set up properly. Let's make sure QuickBooks has the right level of access to avoid problems when working with the company file over the network. I'll show you how.
- Locate and right-click the folder you want to share.
- Select Properties.
- On the Sharing tab, click Share this folder.
- Go to the Security tab, then choose Permission to set permissions for each user who will access your folder.
- Once done, hit Apply and then OK.
Check out this resource for more insights: Set up folder sharing.
If the issue persists, you can reach out to our QuickBooks Desktop support. They have the tool to do screen sharing to do further troubleshooting steps to fix this.
In addition, you may review this article as a reference for alternative steps to take in resolving the multi-user mode issues: Clean install QuickBooks Desktop.
I'll be glad to help you again if you have more questions about the multi-user mode. Just add the details in the comment section.
