Error codes 6190 and 816 occur when another user's signed in to the company file in single user mode.
Since you've already confirmed QuickBooks is up-to-date with its latest release, I'd recommend renaming your ND and TLG files to repair the damaged data.
Here's how:
- Open the folder that contains your company file.
- Find which files have the same name as your company files, but with extensions .ND (company_file.qbw.nd) and .TLG (company_file.qbw.tlg).
- Right-click each file and choose Rename. Add the word OLD at the end of each file name (example: company_file.qbw.nd.OLD).
- Open your books again.
