Let's first determine which between the two computers will store the QuickBooks Desktop company file. Once completed, you can start setting up QuickBooks on your first computer. Here's how:

1. Download and Install QuickBooks Desktop.
2. Choose Custom and Network install for the install type.
3. Select I'll be using QuickBooks Desktop on this computer, AND I'll be storing. 
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the install.
