GST and BAS
It’s great to see you today, @andy39.
Welcome to the Online Community. To add the GST, let’s change the code to Exclusive of Tax.
Here’s how:
- In your company, tap the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings under Your Company.
- This action will lead you to the Account and Settings page.
- From there, choose the Advanced menu on the left panel and then click the Pencil icon for Accounting.
- Go to the Default tax rate selection section and hit the drop-down to select Exclusive of Tax.
- Click Save and Done.
The next time you create any transactions, QuickBooks will automatically add the GST. Since you’ve already created a quote, let’s open it and then update the code to the correct one.
- On the Quote page, go to the Amounts are section and click the drop-down to choose Exclusive of Tax.
- Once done, hit the Save/Save and close button.
For additional resources, I’m adding articles that provide an overview of how to set up the GST and edit the tax rate:
I want to make sure this is taken care of for you. If you have further questions, post a comment below. Please know I’m here to help you. Have a great rest of the day.
