Getting Started
Having an extra column for units provides more information about your quotation in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Although this option is unavailable, I know a way to help you proceed, Hani83.
The current quotation template includes standard columns for Date, Product/Service, Description, Quantity, Rate, and Amount. It also offers an optional column for Stock Keeping Unit (SKU). If you need to, you can remove or include any of these columns.
To include additional data, such as unit measures or anything that matters most to your customers, you can use the Description column as an alternative. Please see the screenshot below for visual reference.
Moreover, we recognise the convenience of having additional columns for unit measures. Therefore, I suggest sending a suggestion to our product engineers. They regularly review feedback for potential future updates.
Here's how to send your idea to them:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Select Feedback.
- Enter your comments and suggestions.
- Click Next to submit.
Finally, you can refer to these articles that provide step-by-step instructions on personalizing invoices, sales receipts, and estimates to align with your brand, as well as tips for streamlining your payment recording process:
