Getting Started
Hello Monsurat A!
You can manually upload these transactions into QuickBooks Online. Let me show you how.
First, please note that you can connect your bank to QuickBooks Online. Depending on the bank, you'll have an option to select how far back you want to download transactions. You can check the detailed steps here: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.
Another option is to manually upload them. Please note that the bank statement must be in CSV or QBO format. You can get a copy of your bank statement in these formats from your bank. Then, follow these steps on how to upload the file:
- Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Banking or Banking menu, then Banking tab.
- Click Upload transactions.
- Select Drag and drop or select files and then select the file you downloaded from your bank, then select Continue.
- In the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions into, then select Continue.
- Follow the on-screen steps to map the data.
I added these links for more info and detailed steps on how to bring your bank transactions into QuickBooks Online and how to categorize them:
Do you have any other concerns about your bank transactions? Let me know and I'll lay down some guides again. I'll also help you out again if you need to record some other entries in QuickBooks.
