Getting Started

Hi QueenVapors,

 

Currently, the efile and epay feature and running payroll are unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO) International version. I'll make sure to pass this along to our product team to let them know of your business needs. On the other hand, you'll want to turn on tax tracking to use sales tax in QBO.

 

However, if you're using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) US version, you'll want to turn on the E-file and E-Pay feature so you can file and pay your taxes.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon on the upper right corner.
  2. In the Taxes section, select E-file and E-pay.
  3. In the E-pay and E-file Setup page, select E-file and e-pay (recommended).
  4. Select Federal taxes and your state.
  5. If you have not connected your bank account yet, enter the bank account info to proceed with the connection. 
  6. Select E-sign to sign your documents. You can choose to print and sign the documents but make sure to contact us to send it.
  7. If you have selected E-sign, you will go through a series of questions to complete and pass. If you failed, you will be asked to print, sign, and send the documents. 

For your payroll concerns, yes you can definitely run payroll anytime. You'll have to make sure that the pay period and the pay date are correct. Please check this article for the detailed steps: Create Paychecks In Online Payroll.

 

Lastly, you'll want to set up your sales tax so you'll be able to track them in QuickBooks.
