Getting Started

 We appreciate you visiting the Community space, Jude. I'll share details about the location tracking feature and how it works for products inside QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

When setting up locations inside your company file, you can add it to your customer transactions, and the system uses it to create data to help you track how much you've made in that specific location. That's the primary use of the feature inside QBO. That said, the option to move products from one location to another is currently unavailable.

 

You can utilize a third-party app that will allow you to manage and transfer products from different store locations. We'll write down the steps to help you find one:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the Apps tab and select Find Apps.
  3. In the Search bar, enter a keyword and then select the Search icon.
  4. Look for the app that suits your business needs and then click on it.
  5. When you're ready, click the Get app now button.
