Thanks for turning to Community in looking for updates about the Summarize Payroll Data in Excel feature. Let me share some clarification about its workaround.
You'll need to run the Summarize Payroll Data in Excel report, then change the date Last Quarter. If asked to update, select Yes. If you get the same result, another workaround you can try is to run clean install QuickBooks and Excel to fix this unexpected behavior.
Our engineers are continuously working to provide a solution as soon as we can. While we don't have a definite time as to when the resolution will come out, rest assured we're actively working to deliver one that'll prevent this from happening again.
I also recommend contacting our Customer Care Team to add you to the list of affected users. By doing so, you'll be notified via email about the status of the investigation.
