  • Sending payroll data in multi-user mode.
  • A network time out prevents QuickBooks Desktop from accessing the server.
  • General internet connection issues.
  • Internet security and personal firewall software settings.
  • Incorrect system date and time properties.

  1. Open QuickBooks on your computer.
  2. Go to the Help menu at the top, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help or Contact Us.
    • A new window will open with a search bar.
  3. Enter a question, keyword, or topic you need help with (e.g., "Payroll service connection error").
    • Search for any article related to your issue. You must search for an article before the Contact Us option becomes visible.
