I appreciate your post regarding connecting QuickBooks Online Payroll to a different QuickBooks Online account, Wa4cbg.
Please know that the steps you mentioned are no longer applicable. Payroll subscription is an add-on service per QuickBooks Online company. Thus, disconnecting the payroll account from your current QBO account and reconnecting it to a new one is not an option.
You can add a new payroll subscription to your new QBO account. Here’s how:
- Navigate to the Gear icon.
- Click Account and settings.
- Select the Billing & Subscription section.
- Go to the QuickBooks Payroll tab and click Learn more.
- From there, choose a payroll plan.
If you're no longer using the old payroll subscription, you have the option to cancel it. Still, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team for further guidance in this situation.
