Employees and payroll
Hello there, @Goeze07. Let's team up to help you fix the error you encountered when updating QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Before anything else, we'll list the possible reason why you encountered error 15103 when attempting to update the program:
- The Shared Download drive wasn't mapped correctly
- A missing file or component for payroll updates
- Damaged windows files
- A firewall setting that may block payroll updates in QuickBooks Desktop
- QuickBooks File Copy Service (FCS) is disabled
- Unable to verify digital signatures
To get through this, you'll want to ensure to download the updates as an Administrator. Here's how:
- Close your company files and QuickBooks Desktop.
- Right-click on the QuickBooks Desktop icon, then select Run as Administrator.
- Select Yes on the message that says, "Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer?"
- Download the latest QuickBooks Desktop product updates or the latest payroll tax table update again.
