I've got the steps to help you export your QuickBooks Self-Employed data into Turbo Tax, jiz3.
Beforehand, may I know if you're using different login credentials with your QBSE and Turbo Tax account? If yes, that might be the cause why the Tax Checklist option isn't showing on your end.
The Tax Checklist appears when we sign in to our Turbo Tax account and if we have the same login information for each product. This makes it easy to connect and send your data seamlessly.
In the meantime, if you need to keep both accounts, there's a workaround. First, we have to pull up a report from your QBSE account.
Here's how:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Find the Tax details report and select the correct tax year.
- Select Download and save the report somewhere you can easily find it.
Second, we manually enter the info in your Turbo Tax account. Perform the steps below:
- Open a new browser window and sign in to TurboTax Self-Employed.
- Start or resume your tax filing.
- When you reach the section about income, use your Tax details report to complete the fields.
- Finish filing your taxes.
For more details, visit this article: Send QuickBooks Self-Employed tax data to TurboTax Self-Employed using different sign-in info.
However, if you want to keep either your existing Turbo Tax account or your QBSE account, we can follow these articles:
- Keep your existing TurboTax Self-Employed account the same
- Keep your existing QuickBooks Self-Employed account the same
Once everything is organized appropriately, we can refer to the regular steps to send your data to TurboTax Self-Employed.
I'm still all ears if you have additional inquiries about exporting data into different Intuit products. Have a good one!

Thank you. I do have the same username and password for both accounts and Tax Chexklist is not appearing in Turbo Tax to import.
I have used the import for the past 3 years but currently there is no option to import it.

Hello there, jiz316ct.
Let me share information about the availability of the tax checklist.
The tax checklist will be made available in mid-January. Rest assured, you'll be notified, and you can start reviewing all your outstanding income, expenses, and deductions.
For more information about the general guide to help you prepare your taxes, please visit this page: QuickBooks Self-Employed annual tax guide.
On the other hand, consider scanning these resources for guidance when exporting your data:
- Send QuickBooks Self-Employed tax info to TurboTax Self-Employed or Live
- QuickBooks Self-Employed data won't transfer to TurboTax Self-Employed
I'm always here to lend a hand if you need further assistance when importing your tax data from QuickBooks Self-Employed to TurboTax or other related concerns.

Hello there, @jbrisini.
I understand the importance of obtaining the tax checklist so you can review your outstanding self-employed income, expenses, and deductions. However, our system is dependent on the information provided by the IRS. For now, we're unable to provide a specific date for when the tax checklist will be available in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). Rest assured that you'll be notified when it is ready in mid-January. I'll share this article for more information: QuickBooks Self-Employed Annual Tax Guide.
Furthermore, you can check your income tax estimate that the system tracks automatically for your business.
Keep in touch if you have other concerns about the tax checklist in QBSE. I'll be more than glad to help. Have a great day ahead.
