Employees and payroll
It’s nice having you in the Community, @vmsmgr. I can share the steps with you in switching views in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
By providing you with these steps, I assure you that your accounts or data won't be affected when switching between them at any time.
If you're referring to these views, here's how you can switch between those two:
- Click the Gear icon.
- Select Switch to Business view or Switch to Accountant view at the lower-right corner.
If you need more time navigating QuickBooks, I suggest you take a test drive. This is for you to dive in and experiment with features and options you might not feel comfortable trying in your own QuickBooks Online account.
On the other hand, if you’re referring to the QuickBooks Online Desktop app view. We can rectify that by performing troubleshooting steps. Beforehand, please make sure to have the updated version of the application and proceed to refresh your QuickBooks app to clear the cache and resolve any unusual performance while using it.
Here's how:
- Navigate to the Help menu.
- Select Reset App Data.
- Once done, close and re-open your QuickBooks App for Windows.
Additionally, feel free to save these resources that will help you with personalizing your QBO account to whatever you need to change. I’ll also add a file you can go over in familiarizing keyboard shortcuts for QuickBooks Online Desktop app users:
- Edit company settings in QuickBooks Online
- Navigate QuickBooks Online: Menus, Transactions & Set Up
- QuickBooks Online Desktop App Windows Keyboard Shortcuts
Keep me updated on how these steps turn out and let me know if you have any other concerns by dropping a comment below. Have a great day!
