I understand you want to know and update this option,@kmayer. I can provide general information about the Employment Security Department in Washington state in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
The Washington Employment Security Department (ESD) administers unemployment benefits, provides job search assistance, and offers various employment-related services. Furthermore, we can set up the state to Washington and enter the Employment Security Department number.
In your case, we can set a sample number for the meantime. Please note that this field will not accept alphanumeric and zeros thus, we'll enter number like 123456789.
1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
2. Go to Settings ⚙, then select Payroll settings.
3. Select the Edit icon Next to the state you want to update.
4. In the State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) Setup section, select Change or Add a new rate.
5. Fill in your new rate and its effective date.
7. Set your new rate and its effective date.
8. Select OK to save your changes.
