Thanks for chiming back in. Let me point you in the right direction to get this handled once and for all.
I can see how trying to merge the old and new employee could be high risk for your business. However, this is the reason to perform a back up before using any of the steps that I provided.
If you'd like to walk through your account with someone from our team to help you resolve this error, I recommend requesting a callback in the product.
Here's how:
- Go to the Help menu.
- Press the QuickBooks Desktop Help option.
- Tap the Contact us button/hyperlink.
- Give a brief description of the problem and click Let's talk.
- Scroll down and pick to Get a callback.
Afterwards, you'll receive an estimated time of when they'll be in touch.
