Same here. At first when it started happening I would close and try again, then it would work. Now its just not working. I've tried sending the same file over ten times now.  What are we supposed to do?

CRA and Profile will probably blame each other, but i too am stuck with late-filing clients i can't file due to this...

Just now, at 335pm, i was able to efile one of the 4 people i should file today. i am in BC, but i don't think it matters....

 

Just now, at 351pm, i was able to efile the fourth and final return. What a f-#@&*** grind! We will probably never know the truth of why this occurred. You will have to pick who you find blameworthy when it comes time to renew or not your subscription with Profile.....

Yep Intuit is blaming the CRA and their servers being overloaded with tax returns, I don't have time to call the CRA but I expect they would say the same thing about Intuit...

I was not expecting to have to work until midnight !!! How long do we have to keep trying to get through to efile. Very annoying time for this to happen. Extension is in order I hope. I wonder if this is all across Canada or just in Edmonton, Alberta.

I just off the phone with Intuit, they say CRA issue and that Intuit is working with CRA to try and fix it. 

NO ETA. 

Also CRA has no idea what error code 500 is.  I am printing off the error message every time I try so I can fight with CRA not to penalize my clients that owe.  For the clients with refunds its not an issue as no penalty is applied.

yes same here, it was a couples return. The husbands went through but not the wife. Thank goodness its a refund..but still frustrating

Interesting...they can't seem to get their story straight. When I called the efile helpdesk, they knew exactly which error I referring to before I even gave them the number, and I was told that their systems are overloaded and there is nothing they can do about, and to just keep trying.

Just spoke with EFile.  Our western efile lines are down, I'm near Calgary.  EFile crashed due to too many files being submitted.  They are trying to fix it, I said what if not fixed, they said keep trying....

I said will they waive the penalty, told...."keep trying".  She did say if CRA extends the deadline to Monday it will be sent to us via email from EFile.
