I recognize your frustration with migrating your data back to QuickBooks Desktop, @cstephens. I'll explain this further to guide you through the process.
To achieve migrating files from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop, and if you're having a hard time doing it, we need a third-party application to back you up on transferring your deposits and other files if you don't need to do it manually since QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online (QBO) has different interfaces.
Furthermore, the only way to resolve this, we need to enter transactions manually one by one as a workaround.
Moving on, we also have available third-party apps that will integrate with QuickBooks Online. If you need one, you can follow the detailed steps below:
- You'll want to check the list within your account in the Apps tab and press Find Apps.
- Then look for apps in the Search bar or browse them in the Browse Categories dropdown.
You can also visit directly through this link: QuickBooks Apps store.
I'm also adding this article for more ideas about managing your sales taxes: Manage Sales Tax in Point of Sale when running Financial Exchange.
Ping me again if you need to accomplish other tasks in QuickBooks. I'll be around the corner.
