Banking

Thanks for getting involved with this thread, accountingonu.

To verify my understanding, what's the error message you're encountering while trying to reconnect your account?

Since you're encountering an error while trying to connect an account, I'd initially recommend checking your bank or credit card's website.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, Transactions, then Bank transactions.
  2. Click Link account. You don't need to add an account. Instead you'll be getting Intuit's listed URL for the financial institution.
  3. Search for your bank and choose it.
  4. Copy their URL.
  5. After arriving at their website, sign in with the proper account.

If you're able to sign in successfully, it's a good sign that there isn't a major issue. While logged in, be sure to check the following:

  • Check your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  • Look for any display issues as you navigate their site. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  • Review for any announcements about new security features/requirements.

I've also included a detailed resource about bank errors which may come in handy moving forward: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions

I'll be looking forward to your reply. Have a wonderful day!
