Banking
I know how this process takes time when you're unable to download bank transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO). We'd want to make sure that we get this sorted out, WarMaid.
I've checked our records and there's no reported case where the Update button is missing from the Banking page. To better isolate this issue, let's try some basic troubleshooting tests to figure this out. Open a private browser and go to the Banking page to check the Update button. The private mode prevents the cache from being retained while the website is operational, which may cause problems. Here is a list of shortcut keys you can use to access one:
- Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome
- Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox
and Microsoft Edge
- Command + Shift + N for Safari
If this works, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache to refresh the background process of your browser settings. But, if the same thing happens, use another supported browser.
You can also get transactions from your bank or credit cards and manually import them into QuickBooks Online (QBO). Just follow the steps and details in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. Here's an article you can refer to check the format of the CSV file you got from your bank to upload transactions to QuickBooks.
When you're ready, you might want to look at these tools that can help you successfully match your accounts:
