Hello, GeorgeTheCat.
To be sure we're on the same page, let me clarify. Are you modifying the settings in the Messages section of Account and Settings? If so, even after we make changes to the account and setting, the email subject line still displays the same information as this is how QuickBooks work as designed.
To ensure that the changes made when sending the invoice take effect. You'll need to manually edit it every time you'll send an invoice. After clicking on Save and Send when you're about to send the email, you can edit the email subject line to edit the invoice.
Please see the attachments below:
If the same thing happens, we can perform some troubleshooting steps. This might be a simple webpage sync issue, so you can refresh the page by pressing the F5 button. Another thing to try is to log out and log back in.
Sometimes QuickBooks Online stops working properly because your browser is overloaded with site data. Open QuickBooks in a private or incognito window to see if the problem is with your browser. This can assist us in eliminating any cache-related problems that may have contributed to the troubles. To open it, press these shortcut keys:
- Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
- Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
- Mozilla Firefox: Press CTRL + Shift + P.
If the steps above work, I suggest clearing your browser's cache to boost browser-related issues. Some stored data on your browser can impact the data being transmitted, thus causing some unusual responses.
In case private browsing doesn't work, I'd recommend using different browsers. They'll provide you with the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks. For more details, please see this article: System Requirements For QuickBooks.
I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you, please let me know how it goes or if you have any other issues or concerns. Take care!
