I know this hasn't been easy for you, jgold.

 

You may have encountered this error when attempting to reconnect to Chase Bank (All) - New due to the following reasons:

 

  • Your bank changed its service offering from Direct Connect to Express Web connect.
  • The connectivity of your financial institution has been disabled.
  • You have pending alerts on your online bank account that you need to acknowledge.
  • Your bank’s info isn’t updated on the Financial Institutions Directory (FiDir) in QuickBooks.
  • There might be a problem with their servers.

 

I'll share some troubleshooting procedures to fix this error. Before we start, please ensure to do the following:

 

 

Let's now run the Verify and Rebuild data to make sure there is no data damage in your company file.

 

To Verify:

 

  1. Go to the File menu and select Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data, then select OK to close all windows.
  3. Once you’ve verified your data, you can rebuild your company file to fix any errors or data damage that's found.

 

To Rebuild:

 

  1. Go back to the File menu and select Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data, then select OK to close all windows.

 

To check if there's some problem with your bank's servers, let's try downloading transactions in the test company file.

 

here's how:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the File menu, then select New Company.
  3. Click Express Start or Start Setup.
  4. Set up Bank Feeds for the affected account.
  5. Try to download your transactions.
