Banking

QuickBooks Online (QBO) always want to make sure you can perform your banking tasks seamlessly, @wiley_l_gladson. Worry not because I've got some handy fixes help you out.

I can see how difficult this has been that's why I'm here to get you back on track.

Before we proceed, I would like to know the name of the bank you're having problems with. This is one of the best pieces of information to verify if there's an ongoing connection issue between the financial institution and QBO.

In the meantime, you can disconnect and reconnect your bank to establish a new connection. For the detailed instructions, please follow these steps:

  1. In your QBO account, navigate to the Bookkeeping menu.
  2. Select the Transactions tab and click Banking.
  3. Choose the bank account you're having a problem with.
  4. Next, click the pencil ✎ icon and select Edit account infodisco1.PNG
  5. Then, check the Disconnect this account on save box.  disco2.PNG
  6. When done, click Save and Close.
  7. After that, close and reopen your QBO account.
  8. Once opened, reconnect your bank.

Additionally, here's the article that compiles the solutions you can perform whenever transactions aren't downloading from your bank: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

QBO recommends that you reconcile your account regularly. The process is used to make sure the balance matches your real-life bank statement. When done, the program will create a report to record that session. This data can use as a reference to avoid mistakes in doing future reconciliations.

I always want to ensure that all your queries are answered. If you have follow-up banking questions or any other QBO concerns, please add a comment below. I'll get back here in this thread to provide further help. Have a great week ahead.
